Rick Siler, AIA, DBIA, NCARB, LEED GA

Principal

In 20+ years with the firm, Rick has been the lead architect on many of LWPB’s most significant federal and education projects, exceeding $400 million in total construction value. Most recently, his primary emphasis has been the development of our federal and design-build portfolio. As one of only a few certified Design Build Professional (DBIA) architects in Oklahoma, he is uniquely positioned to deliver cost effective design-build projects without sacrificing good design. As a principal design architect and project manager, Rick brings a vast range of experience and deep passion for architecture to every project. A rarity for a true “design architect,” Rick has a sixth sense for managing costs, schedule and constructability issues. This unique balance of high design and practicality has made Rick a favorite with design build contractors, government clients and construction managers alike.

Christian Ballard, AIA

Principal, K12 Specialist

Christian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993, from the University of California, Berkeley.
He successfully completed their Pre-Medicine program and graduated with certification as a single-source instructor for Secondary Education in Biology. Upon graduation, he accepted an offer to train for the Modern Pentathlon at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. After a career-ending injury in an Equestrian Event, Christian entered the University of Oklahoma’s College of Architecture where in 1998, he graduated top in his class with a Master of Architecture Degree.
Since graduation, Christian has spent the last 22 years being intimately involved and dedicated to his clients. Christian has used this non-traditional path to Architecture to work primarily in the Design of Education Environments. His leadership has resulted in the completion of nearly 100 Education projects all throughout the State of Oklahoma, including dozens of Sports Facilities and Complexes.
In the end, Christian understands that the Design and Construction process is temporal. As we at LWPB, do our job well, the facilities we design will be around for future generations to appreciate and to continue to be used as permanent, functional and beautiful buildings. Christian is honored to have this responsibility which is why he is so committed to doing the best possible job for our schools and to continue to be a life-long learner just as our educators instruct.
